Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT and FORESTS be pleased to state:-

(a)    The details of the total amount of aid received by Karnataka under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Project Elephant;

(b)   Whether the Centre has received any further request from the State pertaining to this scheme; and

(c)    If so, the details thereof?

(a)    To (c) The details of financial assistance released to the Government of Karnataka under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Project Elephant” during the last three years are as under:

During the current financial year, the State Government of Karnataka had requested for financial assistance of Rs. 2054.88 lakhs under the scheme, against which assistance of Rs. 237.17 Lakhs has been released.
