Objection to High Rise Buildings Around Hindon Airbase in UP

212. SHRI RAJEEV CHANDRASEKHAR:
Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:

1. Whether it is a fact that Indian Air Force has objected to construction of high rise buildings around Hindon Airbase in Uttar Pradash;
2. If so, the details thereof; and
3. What action Government has taken thereon?

(a)To (c ): Applications for ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) for construction of high rise buildings around Indian Air Force (IAF) airbases are examined in accordance with the provisions stipulated in this regard in the Gazette Notifications issued from time to time by the Government of India. Since January, 2006, no proposal for construction of high rise building around Hindon airbase has been objected to in its entirety by IAF. However, certain restrictions of height have been imposed in some cases to ensure conformity with the stipulated provisions.
