144. SHRI RAJEEV CHANDRASEKHAR:
Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:-
(a) Whether it is a fact that "Indira Awas Yojana- (IAY)” is under implementation in
Karnataka since its inception in the year 1996; and
(b) If so, the number of houses constructed under IAY in the State since then, till date? ·

(a)&(b): lndira Awaas Yojana (IAY), a Centrally Sponsored Scheme is being implemented in the rural areas of all States/UTs including Karnataka (except Delhi & Chandigarh). A Statement showing details of houses constructed under Indira Awaas Yojana (lAY) in Karnataka since 1996 till date is at annexure.
