Ecologically sensitive zone around Kali Tiger Reserve

 

1325. SHRI RAJEEV CHANDRASEKHAR:

 Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE be pleased to state: a) whether the Central Government is aware that Karnataka Government is reducing the Ecological Sensitive Zone (ESZ) around Kali Tiger Reserve (Anshi-Dandeli) from 1,201.94 sq.km. to 312.52 sq.km.; b)  if so, the steps Central Government is taking to ensure that the Karnataka Government does not reduce the area of ESZ as prescribed in the Central Government Notification in 2016?
