Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state:-

(a) the names of NGOs engaged in the development of sports in the State of Karnataka to whom financial assistance has been given by the Central Government during 2005-06,2006-07 and so far during 2007-08;

(b) the quantum of assistance given in each case, indicating the specific area of sports in which each organization is engaged, year-wise; and

(c) to what other use they are being diverted in case total funds meant for the programme are not being utilized fully?

(a) to (c): During the last 3 years i.e. 2005-06 to 2007-08 (till date), the Ministry has released Rs.12.50 lakhs to a Karnataka NGO, namely, The Manik Prabhu Shikshan Sansthan, Manik Nagar for the construction of a Swimming Pool (Cat-II) at Manik Nagar, Distt. Bidar (Karnataka).
