RAJYASABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 4593 TO BE ANSWERED ON MAY 17, 2012 Bypasses Proposed in Karnataka
Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) the number of bypasses proposed to be constructed or which are presently under construction on the National Highways network in the State of Karnataka with details of each such bypass; and
(b) the present status of each of these bypasses?
ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN 1HE MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI TITIN PRASADA)
(a) & (b) There is no standalone bypass in Karnataka State. However bypasses are to be constructed as a part of a National Highway development project. Details are provided in the Annexure.
