QUESTION
Allegation of Irregularities in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)

547. SHRI RAJEEV CHANDRASEKHAR:

Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES AND PUBLIC ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:

(a)   whether the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has pointed to several irregularities and corrupt practices in the functioning of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in all prominent sectors, during its review meetings held recently;

(b)   if so, the details thereof, sector-wise, PSU-wise;

(c)    whether the CVC has also expressed concern about the inaction on the part of the authorities in plugging these irregularities; and

(d)   if so, the action proposed to be taken by Government in this regard?

(a): The Department of Public Enterprises has not received any report from Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) about any review meetings held by them on functioning of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).
