May 16th 2014: India, Karnataka and Bangalore have voted for change.

Just a few weeks ago I endorsed Narendra Modi as my choice for Prime Minister of our country and had appealed to you to also vote for change, so that our next five years are not the same as the last ten years.

I had appealed to you to vote for  Narendra Modi and give him an opportunity to serve for the next 5 years, because he has shown a willingness to take ownership of challenges, and a commitment to governance, development, and security with equal opportunity for all citizens - regardless of caste, religion, or gender.

The unprecedented results of these elections prove that you agreed. Karnataka has voted and elected 17 BJP MPs, and our city Bangalore has elected all three BJP MPs.

Regardless of whether you were Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Sikh, Vokkaliga, Lingayat, Kuruba, Dalit or Brahmin you have voted for a better India! You’ve voted for development. You’ve voted for good governance!

Once again, my congratulations and thanks to all of you.  It is because of you that today we move to a new phase in our country's and our people development. Lets stay engaged as we travel down this new road.
