ANSWER

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

(SHRI UPENDRA KUSHWAHA)

(a): Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to use Aadhaar for the applicants of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET)-2017 for accuracy, ascertaining identify of applicants and obviate the need for producing multiple documents. There is a provision to capture Aadhaar number at the CAT application stage. However, it has not been made mandatory. No provision of Aadhaar was made for National Eligibility Test (NET).

(b) and ( c) : Do not arise.
