Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:-

(a)        Whether in view of high rate of inflation which crossed 12 percent a thirteen year high, Government proposes to revise the interest rates for small saving managed by post office as well as PPF and GPF deposits; and;

(b)        if so, the details in this regard and by when they are likely to be implemented?

(a & (b): At present, there is no proposal under consideration of Government to increase the interest rates on Small Savings Schemes (including PPF) and GPF.
