REGULATOR FOR DIGITAL PAYMENTS

Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:

(a)Whether there is a time-frame to appointment a separate digital payments regulator to monitor payments online; and

(b)If so, whether Government will clarify the timeline therefor?

(a): No, Sir. There is no proposal to appoint a separate digital payments regulator to monitor payments online.

(b): In view of response to (a) above, does not arise.
