Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana in Karnataka

3501. SHRI RAJEEV CHANDRASEKHAR:
Will the Minister of POWER be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government's sanction has since been accorded for Dhakshin Kannada and Udupi districts of Karnataka under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) during the Eleventh Five Year Plan; and
(b) if so, by when the funds under the scheme are likely to be released, and if not, by when the sanction is likely to be accorded and the funds released?

(a) & (b): Government of Kamataka has sent proposals for Dakshin Kannada and Udupi districts under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY). Both the schemes have been identified for consideration in the next phase of RGGVY, as and when fund are made available forthe Phase-It
