Project for Commonwealth Games.

Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state:-
(a) whether it is a fact that a number of projects relating to the Commonwealth Games 2010 to be held in Delhi are running behind schedule;
(b) if so, the details in regard to each such project; and
(c) the steps proposed to be taken so as to ensure that all these projects are completed in time?
THE MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) FOR YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS
(a) to (c): After obtaining the necessary regulatory clearances, the work on most of the Competitions venues and Training venues has commenced and is running as per schedule. Time Lines, against monitorable parameters are being monitored, on a web-based monitoring system developed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports is closely monitoring the enormous work involved, in organizing the infrastructure for the Games. As a result of the efforts put in by all the concerned agencies, various sports infrastructure facilities would be completed in time for the Games.
