(b) whether the families of such personnel have any outstanding claims and benefits that are yet to be cleared by the Centre and the States concerned; and
(c) the steps being taken to expedite the same?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS
(SHRI SRIPRAKASH JAISWAL)
(a): Details are as under:-
Force Number of personnel, who lost their
Lives during the year 2007
AR 124
BSF 370
CISE 215
CRPF 375
ITBP 71
(b) & (c): All pensionary benefits (except of the personnel covered under the New Pension Scheme) and Ex-Gratia Lump-sum compensation are processed expeditiously.
However, a few cases get held up due to non receipt of required documents from the ‘Next of Kins’. The cases are being monitored by the Central Paramilitary Forces (CPMF) regularly for early settlement. A Group of Minister is also considering the matters relating to application of the New Pension Scheme to the CPMFs.
