Will the Minister of Communications and Information Technology be pleased to state:

a)      Whether it is a fact that Government has decided to replace the existing Telecom Policy with a new Telecom Policy; and

b)      If so, the details thereof and the present status of the New Telecom Policy?

a) & b) The Department of Telecommunications has constituted a Committee for making recommendations on formulation of National Telecom Policy – 2011. The committee will seek inputs from all concerned while making its recommendations. Hon’ble Minister of Communications & Technology Is having consultation with key stake holders in this regard.
